This group belonged to Captain Stepan Markovich Kodenko.  Unfortunately, not much is known about Captain Kodenko, as his service record strangely ends in November 1940 with service in the 490th Rifle Regiment, 173rd Rifle Division, which was surrounded by the German 6th Army and wiped out at Uman in August 1941.  He obviously survived the battle, and saw further action.
